PUBLIC NOTICE - COVID-19
With the evolving situation of COVID-19, the Town of Bonavista is taking precautionary measure to "flatten the curve". Effective, Wednesday, March 18, 2020, the Town Hall will be closed to the public until further notice. However, Town staff are still working and can be reached by telephone or by email. All essential services will continue.
If you require services from the Town Hall, have questions or to pay taxes, please call (709) 468-7747 / 1-877-571-9185 or email us email@example.com .
Please note, payments can be made by telephone with Visa or MasterCard or by dropping them in the regular mail or by placing them in the town office drop box located hear the main entrance.
We are asking everyone to stay up to date on the latest information being provided by the Federal Public Health Agency of Canada and the Provincial Dept. of Health & Community Services. The link to their website is as follows:- https://www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19/
If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, we respectfully ask that you not visit any public buildings until you have self-isolated for 14 days.

Discovery Aspiring Geopark is located on the Bonavista Peninsula and covers an area of 1400 km2 and approximately 280 km of rugged coastline. The coastal geology offers a unique opportunity to observe, study, and celebrate one of the most significant transitions in Earth’s history: the Ediacaran Period, and its associated rise of animal life. With rocks over half a billion years old, the Aspiring Geopark is host to some of the most spectacular and exceptionally preserved Ediacaran fossils anywhere in the world.
