Bonavista Town Council has adopted amendments to its Municipal Plan and Development Regulations to provide Council with discretionary authority to approve the development of seasonal residences in the Rural zone. The proposed amendments would add “seasonal residential” as a Discretionary Use Class in the Rural zone.
Normally a Public Hearing would be held to consider comments on the amendment. However, due to Covid-19 restrictions, a physical Public Hearing will not be held. Instead, the Commissioner will consider all written comments received up to 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 6, 2021.
The proposed amendments are available for viewing at the Town Office and online at http://townofbonavista.com/development/ . They will also be emailed on request.
Anyone who wishes to comment shall deposit with the Chief Administrative Officer a signed statement outlining their objection or representation. Emails will be accepted as well.
